Santa Came!

Brian, Everett & I celebrated our first Christmas together this week and we had so much fun! Although Ev had a cold and slept till 10:45 on Christmas morning! Geez! Mommy and Daddy were up for two hours waiting on him. haha. Talk to us in four years huh? Santa spoiled the little man rotten, not to mention all Santa's helper elves aka The Grandparents! We first celebrated the holiday with Brian's family last Sunday. We met for brunch and then did gifts at the apartment. Cousin Sydney and Everett got so much fun stuff, it was very exciting. The biggest gift from Gramma Daphne & Grampa Mike was his new highchair! It is really going to come in handy and I'm sure it will make the blog photos more than a few times!

Here is Everett opening his first Christmas present ever with Grampa Mike!

He didnt quite know what to think...

On Christmas Eve, we opened gifts over the phone with Grandma & Grandpa B and Uncle Dylan! They got him lots of cute clothes and toys too. And Uncle Dylan picked out one special gift for his nephew....
Taking a look at the Merry Christmas Curious George book that Uncle Dylan got for Everett before bed on Christmas Eve!

Here he is Christmas morning with Daddy

Then with Mommy

Posing with his stocking!

He liked the paper and watched Mommy and Daddy open each one of his gifts!

The cool carseat toy from Mamaw & Papaw! (he loves it!)

Santa's big gift to Everett, a Jumper! He and Daddy were both very excited :-)

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, spent with friends and family! We want everyone to know how much we miss and love them too and that we are constantly thinking of you. Have a safe and Happy New Year.
'08 will be hard to beat.

St. Nicholas (or Nikolaus) Day!

It has always been a tradition in my family that on Dec. 5th you place your shoes by the door and St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children, will leave you gifts in them. This is the traditional German celebration of Santa Claus and we celebrate it because of our strong German roots. I'm pretty sure it all started with Everett's Great Great Grandma Willis and she did it then when his Great Grandpa Bruner was little, but now that I think of it I always just assumed that. huh. Anyway, we left Everett's boots out and he got some goodies! Thought I would share the picture, he looks like such a big boy sitting on the couch :-)

Everett meets Santa!

Hey everybody!! I hope everyone is doing good. I am busy getting ready for my first Christmas, here. Our tree is up and a lot of presents are wrapped up underneath. I love to watch the lights and I like it when Mommy lets me touch the branches and ornaments. I have been visiting with Santa in the last week. First I went to a Breakfast with Santa and then Mommy and I met up with Aunt Melissa, Uncle Eric and Cousin Sydney at the Coppell Parade of Lights. Mommy said Daddy was busy working but when I met Santa that night he sure did sound like my Daddy. Either way I got my picture taken and got to watch all of the cool lights. It was cold that night, especially for Coppell, so I got all bundled up in my coat. Mommy said I was soooo huggable!

I wore the Christmas shirt that my Grandma got me to Breakfast with Santa! It says, 'Is it too late to be good?' Mommy and Grandma both think its really funny!!

Dont you think that Santa looks like my Daddy? Hmmm... I wonder

Sydney & I see Mr. & Mrs. Claus for the first time!!

Mommy and I had a blast together!

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone is enjoying a great holiday weekend! We had a tame Thanksgiving, getting together with Brian's family on Friday for dinner. We did get some good photos of the gang, which we are rarely able to do! Life as a Nickolaus has been interesting this year with the arrival of the kiddos!!

This is the whole Nickolaus Family!

Growing guy...

Hey family!! Its me Everett I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about whats going on with me. Mommy & Daddy took me to the doctor for my two month check up today. Daddy guessed I would weigh ten lbs, Mommy guessed eleven and the nurse was betting on nine, she thought I was a little guy. Well I fooled 'em all weighing in at 12 lbs! Guess they were right about my big ole buddha belly. I measured 24 inches which made me 50th percentile in everything. Dr. Kincaid said I'm the "average guy" but Mommy reassured me I was 100th percentile in good looks. Then they had to give me three shots. Mommy considered taking pictures of this moment but backed down at the last moment, saying it would just be cruel. I think she was glad she did because her eyes were blurry with tears anyway, we both got a little upset. But then we ate lunch :-)
Here are some of my latest photos. I am loving my toys more everyday and I love hanging out in my swing and talking to my buddies. They make me laugh and laugh and laugh!

Here I am learning to sit up in my Bumbo, I'm still not too sure about it.

And here I am with my mommy, she loves me so much!

Love you guys, EJ

Updates!

Last week our Uncle Greg was in town for a conference for work and we got to go out to dinner with him! We were very excited to introduce him to Everett. It was so nice to catch up with him and obviously the little guy was thrilled!

Halloween was an interesting event. The little man was dressed as an adorable bee, or so we thought. Little did we know he had planned on being an angry bee. Brian was working the city's "Scare Fair" Halloween event that evening, so we made a very quick appearance before getting the bee to bed.
He had been in a great mood earlier in the day! It was the costume he HATED! haha.

Hey guys!!

My mommy finally started this thing so we can share all of our adventures with you! This way you can stop in whenever you want and see what I've been up to.

Last week we went on vacation. We went home to Indiana to meet my whole family! I think they liked me and I sure liked them. It was great!

Here I am with my mommy and god mommy Emily. I sure was happy to meet her and now I know why my mommy is always laughing when we talk to her on the phone. She is silly!!

I was so happy to see my great grandma! She gave great hugs and she made me my favorite blankey. I like to cuddle up in it with my mommy before bedtime.

I finally got to meet my Uncle Dylan. I love him already and even though I cant say Einstein yet, I think he still likes me.

Last but not least here is our whole family! Including Grandma, Grandpa and Daddy. We are quite a crew!

That is all for now, xoxo- EJ
